Counseling – Support

The Counseling Department at Sacred Heart Academy is a place where students get help with personal issues in a private setting. The counselor works with the teachers and administrators to help ensure that students feel he or she can get help. Most of the counselor’s time is spent in discussion with students. Therefore, a student should not hesitate to see the counselor about any concern or problem that may occur. Students who wish to see the counselor should make an appointment during a change of class, lunch or other free time. The counselor will send for the student as soon as possible. The counselor is on staff as a resource to students, parents/guardians, and teachers.   

• To listen to student’s thoughts and feelings, to help them get through difficult times with family, friends or teachers.
• To help students make decisions when they don not know what to do. 

• To listen to student’s personal problems and help them find solutions.
